The mere thought of replacing a sewer is enough to give people headaches. It involves digging up the entire length of the damaged line, cutting the existing sewer, replacing the line and covering the trench again. The whole process involves a lot of labor, time and can be expensive too.

Many of our clients have had Joe’s Plumbing & Rooter Service replace/repair their sewer lines utilizing trenchless technology.

Trenchless Sewer Replacement

Joe’s Plumbing and Rooter Service offers two types of trenchless sewer replacement- pipe bursting and pipe lining.

To install a pipe line, which is also known as “cured in place pipe,” a flexible liner saturated with resin is blown or pulled into the damaged pipe. After the resin saturated liner is in place, it is inflated. After several hours the resin cures and hardens, creating a new “pipe within a pipe.”

Pipe lining typically involves excavating just one access hole.

Pipe bursting involves pulling a new pipe through a damaged one, simultaneously fracturing the old pipe outward. Pipe bursting typically requires access points to be dug on both sides of the lateral.
